Awards Īuxier won the TD Canadian Children's Literature Award and the Canadian Library Association Book of the Year for Children Award for his 2014 novel The Night Gardener. During graduate school, Auxier worked on a side project to refresh his creativity which he would eventually develop into the novel Peter Nimble after graduating, he moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in screenwriting. He earned a BA from Trinity Western University in 2003 and a MFA in Dramatic Writing from Carnegie Mellon University in 2005. ![]() Originally from Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, he currently lives in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, US with his wife.
